Back "at it" !

It is amazing to me how quickly time is flying by.  I always have "good intentions" on blogging, but, sadly have not done so!

We as usual have been on the go.... the yard and garden are coming in shape.  Have the garden in, green beans are up, 8 tomatoes, 6 peppers in, garlic and onions growing and 2 cucumbers are set to climb a new type of trellis.

I have had to work long hours as we are very short on help at work.  And Jim has been busy in the rock shop making beautiful cabs and jewelry... hopefully I can get some wire wrapping going soon too.

Mary Kay Business is coming along, and am anxious to do more.  We (our unit) just opened a new studio training center, which will be a big asset for all of us!  So excited to see what the future holds there.

Next post I will post some pictures of all of the above and get back at it in the blog world!

Praying all is well with you!

Career Conference 2014

Had a wonderful fast weekend in Denver with my Mary Kay Sisters @ Career Conference.  So inspired to hear the National Sales Directors and Top Independent Sales Directors of the State.

Some of our unit.

Also was so proud of Julie as she has gone on track for being in the Queens court of Sales for the National convention in July.  She and sister directors Anny and Monique got to walk across stage for that.

Anny, Julie and Monique on stage.

Coming back with renewed determination to be all I can be in my Mary Kay.  So rewarding to see people celebrated for their accomplishment, and watching everyone sharing and encouraging each other on. There was over 1,700 people there and not one grump in the bunch. :)

Back to my J.O.B tomorrow, but praising God for my weekend.  Our new theme this year is I <3 my Mary Kay ( I love my Mary Kay).... very true for this lady.

One side note... being an older "interesting" age, I thought I was a rarity.... but no, not the case. Oh so inspired by ladies even older than I.

Love My Mary Kay!
Ma and Pa too...

Learning to change our lifestyle!

Since we had a health scare with Jim in December we have been on a new learning curve....  Oh the joy of getting older.   LOL

Jim has quit smoking and now only enjoys an E-cig now and then.  He has made great strides.  We also are watching our salt intake.  Do you realize sodium intake is not just from the salt shaker??  Reading labels, and watching what we eat and trying to adjust recipes. Now, we find things we used to enjoy are oh-so-over-the-top salty now.

Will be adding some new blogs I have found when and if I can fix a blogger error I have encountered today.  So mabe we can all share our insights of what we have found as we all grow and change in this baby boomer session of life.

Always Praising,
Ma and Pa

God is Able!

2014 A new year to enjoy!

We are thankful for a new year and a new beginning, how about you?

Just before Christmas we had a health scare with Jim in the hospital for awhile... but God is faithful, and Jim's healing is coming along.  We will trust Him for a full recovery soon!

In the meantime we are enjoying watching our Bronco's !!

Jim is wearing his old Lynch jersey... John Lynch, who was a Bronco, was just inducted into the Hall of Fame.  Jim wore his namesake jersey to church today!

And right now we are enjoying the game... go Bronco's !!

With a new year comes goals and dreams, and lots of prayers.  So what are your dreams.... what are you praying for this next year?

We have a few.

Peace and prosperity for our family.
Health and wellness to enjoy it.

Peace and revival for our precious country.
For people to return to the God of our fathers.

Joy and prosperity for our friends.
May there be a renewed pride in America, and renewed compassion to help one another.

Simple prayers... and all in God's hands.  For God loves his children and this country and I cannot wait to see what happens this year.  Is anything too big for God?

We have been in a "deep freeze" for about 6-8 weeks now, and we are looking forward to the spring....at 38 degrees right now which has been the warmest we have been for a long time. Now we are getting out our seed catalogs, and looking forward to a new growing season.  It is great to have something to look forward to!

Our grand valley is precious to us, and all the friends and family in it.  Things are starting to look up a bit for the valley, and we pray that will continue in 2014 until it is booming again.

Here is a recent beautiful picture of our valley. Yep, we think it is beautiful too.

Praying all is well with you in this new year!

Trusting Him,
Ma and Pa
