Thanksgiving 2011

We hope your Thanksgiving was a special as ours was!  We were blessed to have almost all of our kids and grand kids with us and got some great family pictures, one of which we are going to share.

As we get into the holiday season especially, our heart goes to home and the family, and nothing is more precious to this Ma and Pa then the kids.  We are so proud of all of them, what they are doing and what they are all becoming.  We look at our crew now and cannot imagine where the time has gone.... but just one look at the teen grandkids you can see it has whized by.  And no matter what we all have, or don't have we are so thankful to God for giving us the blessing of this beautiful family.  After all, life is what you focus on isn't is?  And we are so blessed!

Busy fall days!

Ma and Pa have been busy these last few days helping Julie and Micah and boys.  These three mighty hunters went out hunting and each one got their doe!  Needless to say they were all very happy, and Julie and Ma and Pa were very proud of them.

There has been many happy days out in God's country with our family, camping and rock hunting and hunting game.  Pa cannot go anymore, but sure is proud of the kids. Such a wonderful time of memories that were made last weekend between father and sons, that no money can buy.  Micah's twin brother Nathaniel got to be part of it on the last day as well, and that was special.

But then the work began!  We went over and helped them process all that good meat for several nights.  Yes, they could have spent $300.- $400. to have that done, but why do that when there were so many willing hands to help?  The boys helped as well, and we spent a special time talking over the tables as we cut steaks, made hamburger meat, and jerky meat.  Before we knew it, we were done, and they had alot of meat in the freezer!  Praise God!
These boys will have all that gone in no time.... thankfully Elk season is around the corner!

Welcome!

Welcome to our home!
We are a christian couple that have come back to the blog world to shed a positive light to life.

Stop by and see what we will pull out of our trunk to share. It could be our latest jewelry creation ( Jim is the talented one and Connie is learning). You might find a receipe we are fixing, frugal living, decorating and crafts. Or perhaps our thoughts as we journey through this stage in life.

Come and share your thoughts, join us on this journey. We would love to hear from you!
